November Favorites

This month has been absolutely hectic and I have been crazy busy with the two jobs I started this month but I decided it was time to sit down and write another post for you all. I had forgotten how much I love doing this and need to keep this up. So without further ado, let me share with you all what I have been loving!

Not a lot has stood out to me except these four exceptional and essential items.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask:
Absolutely amazing product! I use it around my eyes for my dry skin and it has
helped a lot with my dry skin which is what I wanted it for. I have the
travel size but I mainly use this as an intensive eye cream
so it will last for ages!

LancĂ´me Hypnose Star Mascara:
I have had this one for a while and just keep
putting it away but it is absolutely amazing
and gives me length, volume and definition. What more
could I ask for? Even the packaging is glamorous.

Michael Kors watch:
I have no idea what model it is, it was a gift a long time ago.
It is absolutely beautiful. It has rhinestones and Mother of Pearl inlay.
Gorgeous.

Becca Matte Skin Shine Proof Foundation in Nude:
Possibly my new holy grail foundation. I am obsessed.
The color matches me to perfection and it keeps my skin matte.
This month I have really been looking for good products and I have found
just that in this foundation. I also love the Primer but only have a sample
at the moment.

And that you guys are my monthly favorites. Not that many this month but these are all amazing products and I have been enjoying them!

Let me know what your favorite products are!

A Sort of Weird Obsession...

Sorry I have been M.I.A everyone! I have started working two jobs and have been quite busy but never the less, I am back with another riveting blog post.

I am fortunate enough to be working for Sephora. Yes I absolutely love it and although it is Seasonal/Temporary, I love it nonetheless.

Recently at our Holiday meeting we were all given these amazing Sephora VIB totes that all the VIB's got during their sale and there were some left over so our managers gave each of us a tote.

Let me tell you guys, it is freaken adorable. I love the print but I especially love the shape and size! Most tote bags that company's give out are those weird shaped ones that you take to the grocery store but this tote bag is in the shape of an actual tote bag or a 'Shopper' as some brands call them. Absolutely cute and it carries a good amount of stuff. I especially love it for like papers and binders and everything for my other job. It adds some interesting flare.

I promise to post more regularly and am already drafting my next post.

I hope you guys had a lovely Holiday!

Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream Review

While everyone and there mother has heard of BB Creams and has tried one at some point be it from the drugstore or the department store, let's just say that I am one of those crazy ass people.

I bought this BB cream a while ago at the beginning of summer and was so excited after doing my research and looking up reviews, swatches you name it. So when I was finally ready to purchase my very own BB cream, I just had to get the Smashbox one because it sounded amazing and all the reviews were pretty fantastic.

To say the least, I only have one thing that bothers me about it. I hate the color range or I just simply hate the color I have. The product itself is fantastic and I believe everything it says on the bottle is correct. It says it is a 5-in-1 BB Cream that primes, perfects, protects, hydrates and controls oil. The last part is amazing because I have quite oily skin and every other BB cream that has been reviewed has been said to be quite oily and more for dryer skins because of the hydrating qualities. Needless to say, I did not want to try them.

Now, my problem with this particular BB Cream is that it is so orange on my face!! I am of a medium skin tone with yellow undertones, I do not like products that make me look orange because I am not that dark. I have that problem with a lot of foundations actually, it's just something I have to deal with. Either they are too light or too orange.

This particualrt product makes me look very orange which is disapointing because I do not want to look like an oompa loompa!! And when I got it I thought this was the closest match because the shade in Light was way too light and Medium was too dark so I thought, YES! Finally my perfect shade but sadly I was dissapointed.

Every now and then I pull it out of my drawer and think maybe it will work today but I am disapointed each time.

So my final thoughts are:
It's a great product
Good coverage for those days you dont want heavy foundation
Light-weight and non-greasy
Poor color range
Makes me look orange
Great sleek packaging

Let me know if you guys have tried it and what you think or what your favorite light weight foundation, BB Cream or CC Creams are.

Origins Holiday Gift Set: Morning to Midnight

I did it. I finally did it. Well, not me actually but my husband did it. As I mentioned before in my previous blog post I was seriously coveting this Gift Set from Origins and since it was my four year anniversary with my husband (we've only been married for one year but have been together for four) he was very kind and decided to take me to the store and purchase it for me. Not much of a surprise but I was ecstatic walking out of the store with this little baby!

The gift set is absolutely adorable and it has many a good products in this little box. For $52 I think it is an amazing deal for all the products you get.

First of all, you get the Drink Up Intensive Overnight mask which is amazing!
I have oily skin but this product balances my oils and leaves
my skin looking amazing in the morning! This is
half of the full size bottle.

Then you get the Ginzing Refreshing eye cream which is amazing!
It really leaves your eyes feeling refreshed and thoroughly
de-puffed. Again this is half of the full size.

Thirdly, there is a 30mL size of the Ginzing Energy-boosting Moisturizer.
The smell is to die for! I love orange and this is just so good.
My husband loves the smell as well and it is refreshing and very
light on the skin. It does not make my face oily which is awesome.

Last but not least, a full size of the High-Potency Night-a-Mins
This stuff seriously rocks and it has so many great benefits to it and
has loads of vitamins that you just cant go wrong. It leaves my skin feeling
smooth, thoroughly moisturized and it is non-greasy.

All I can say is I am thoroughly pleased with my gift and I could not be happier with my skin care routine at the moment. My skin has never looked better and I just have to thank Origins for producing such amazing products that are not only great for us but for the environment as well.

A big thumbs up to all these products!

Let me know what your favorite Origins products are and what you recommend because I just want to try everything.

Origins Sample Crazy

Recently I have been having a bit of a dilemma with my skin, I wasn't really impressed with my skin care routine and as a result my skin wasn't looking too great. I was trying to use up some of the products I had lying around my bathroom. I have a major tendency to buy new products when I am barely halfway done with my old ones? Does anybody else do this or is it only me?

Watching lots of YouTube videos and reading many different blogs, you just want to try so many products out because everybody recommends different things and I just want to try them all out. That is very bad for my bank account and the decreasing storage in my bathroom ha-ha.

With that being said, I was not liking how my skin was looking so one day while shopping with my sister and her friend, I was really bored and just wandering around the mall and there was Origins, right in front of me and I thought to myself, I have not used their skin care products in a while and I really liked them before. So I walked in to the store and sales girl was lovely and so helpful! Origins has some of the best Customer Service I have ever experienced. The people in there really listen to you and are really knowledgeable about all the products.

So any-who, I explained to her that I really wanted a Day and a Night moisturizer and I explained that I have Oily skin but my skin feels like it is so dehydrated and I really want to balance it out. So she recommended the Ginzing Moisturizer for the day and Night-A-Mins for the night and I will say I am thoroughly impressed. She made me samples of those two but she also made me samples of the Make A Difference Oil-Free Moisturizer and Make A Difference Ultra which is an intense cream for people with super dry skin.

I really like how it made my skin feel but I did break out the next day on my chin and temple area because of how rich the cream is.

On top of having oily skin that is dehydrated, it is also very sensitive. A serious pain to take care of but I am really impressed with the Ginzing Moisturizer and the Night-a-Mins that I am going to go back soon and purchase the cutest Holiday set that includes those two products plus a night mask and a Ginzing eye cream for $52. That is an insanely good price considering Night-a-Mins costs about $40 on its own. Morning to Midnight Holiday Gift Set

It is the perfect time of year to buy yourself goodies because all these stores are doing amazing deals and I just want to take advantage of them all!!

Let me know what your favorite Holiday gift sets are for this year!

As it is Halloween, I am about to go and sit on the couch and stuff my face with the candy I bought at Walgreen's, yes I know. A terribly boring Halloween but I have nothing exciting to do.

The Ultimate Boy Magnet...

Judging by the title, this post could be about numerous things but recently I went through my fragrance collection which is quite extensive, and found an oldie but a goodie.

That being said, this specific parfum or shall I say a 'Scented Body Mist' is exactly what every girl needs in their parfum collection. Without further ado, the special product I am mentioning is the Victoria's Secret Sexy Little Things Noir Body Mist. It is also sold in eau de parfum which retails for $65, the body mist is a more modest price of $25.
I have the travel size and have lost the cap, but as soon I am done with this magic little bottle, I will definitely be purchasing the full size bottle which is very cute and very reminiscent of the old school parfum bottles.

It is a very sensual and sexy fragrance without being overpowering. It is very subtle but not subtle enough to not get someones attention but not overpowering  to have a guy running in the opposite direction. I am pretty terrible at describing scents but the noticeable notes in the fragrance are Sparkling Nectarine, Sultry Amber and Exotic Cattelaya.

The ingredients alone sound very sensual and sexy. I highly recommend going into a Victoria's Secret and taking a whiff, I promise you will thank me when your the Ultimate Boy Magnet.

Probably the Best Nail Polish for Fall..

I have been on the hunt for the perfect fall nail polish. Every year, different companies come out with all these amazing colors and I go crazy for them at Target or Walmart.

This year I have certainly lucked out, but guess what? I found it in my nail polish collection! I did not have to trek the stores and spend 8-10 dollars on a new bottle of nail magic when I have it right here in my own personal stash.

Drum roll please!!!!

It is the Julep Nail Varnis in the color Boris & Nicole. Now, Julep is a monthly nail polish subscription service and they send you two nail polishes plus an extra goody that is like a deluxe sample of skin care or something else involving nails like a Pedicure cream for example.

I got this nail varnis exactly one year ago when I was subscribed to this service and it was a special edition polish for Halloween, my favorite holiday. I also got a clear nail polish along with my little package but this was the star. So without further ado........
That photo shows off the color perfectly. It is sort of a metallic burnt copper. It is absolutely stunning on the nails and the formulation of these nail polishes is phenomenal. You really only need one coat and it is truly opaque. When you add the second coat, however, your nails look glossy and the staying power is amazing as well. A big thumbs up for Julep Nail Varnis, a nail polish company that is based in Seattle, Washington and all the products are made in the USA. I will insert more shots of the polish on my nails.

So that concludes my little rant of my Julep Nail Varnis in Boris & Nicole. Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!
